As ethnomethodologists and as Marxists

今日、Bjelićの5年ほど前の論文を見ていたら、その冒頭次のようなフレーズに出くわした。このフレーズ、冒頭なのでほぼ文脈なしに唐突に現れる。この先を読んでも文脈らしきものは見当たらない。

As ethnomethodologists and as Marxists, we should focus on the production of mass perception rather than on its consumption in order to gain insight into the logic of production of those who manufacture the world as representation.

「あんた、マルキストかよ! エスノメソドロジストとマルキスト、並列かよ! 」

でも、考えてみると、クルターも元マルキストだし、日本ではNSZK氏も元マルキストだし、EMの必修キーワードはワークworkだし･･･。エスノメソドロジストというカテゴリーは、世界規準では、マルキストというカテゴリーを共示する･･･のか?　エスノメソドロジーはマルクス主義的「労働(=生産/産出)」を再記述している･･･のか?

意外と面白い。
